Moog Commercial Aircraft Group is seeking a Senior Transition Project Manager.

You will directly reports to the Commercial Aftermarket 80/20 Sr. Manager and primarily support the smooth implementation of the Work Transfer process, BMDL-12-1106, product line simplification, and divestiture activities.

Your role will be influential in driving the adherence to the Work Transfer process by providing strong and effective facilitation, project management, and leadership in a team-based organization for the planning, organizing, and implementation of business strategies.

You will be accountable for the overall project management process execution performance of multiple major/complex transition projects, as defined by the BMDL-12-1106, by managing all required resources and budgets to ensure successful delivery of Work Transfer goals and objectives.

You will facilitate the definition and completion of Stage 1 and Stage 2 requirements as outlined in the Work Transfer process (BMDL-12-1106), working closely with the Commercial Aftermarket 80/20 Senior Manager. You will act as the project manager at either the sending or receiving site-whichever applies-for multiple major and complex work transfer initiatives aligned with Commercial Aftermarket strategies.

As a Senior Transition Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following...

  • Lead Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain transition plans for major projects, ensuring objectives and deliverables are met.

  • Drive Collaboration: Coordinate cross-functional activities and foster effective communication across teams and sites.

  • Governance and Reporting: Chair governance meetings to review project status, schedules, and cost performance metrics.

  • Risk Management: Identify and address minor roadblocks within your control and collaborate on mitigation plans for broader risks.

  • Escalation and Issue Resolution: Ensure timely escalation of major issues that could impact project execution.

  • Relationship Building: Build strategic relationships across all levels of the organization, from site leadership to frontline process owners.

  • Continuous Improvement: Generate improvement ideas and document lessons learned to enhance the Work Transfer process and strategies.

To be considered for the Senior Transition Project Manager will need the following...

  • BS degree in the field of Engineering or any equivalent course.

  • Minimum five (5) Years experience in the function of Project Management, Program Management, Product Engineering, Methods, or Manufacturing Engineering and/or Operations.

  • Strong project management skills with experience in complex, multi-site initiatives.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities

  • Travel requirements: 20-30%

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $105,000.00-$145,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
