Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.

SUMMARY

The Portfolio Manager I's (PM I) primary responsibility is client service and account administration for CitizensTrust (CT) investment management clients. The PM I manages client portfolios in accordance with directions from CT Asset Management or open architecture investment management platform. The accounts for which the PM I is responsible are primarily Liquidity accounts involving the use of money market funds and Treasury bills for investment purposes. The accounts also involve significant money movement. The PM I is responsible for all activities that occur in the client's account and for all client communication. The PM is also responsible for assisting in the business development process in developing and presenting the asset allocation and portfolio management approach for the prospective client.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  • Oversees all activities and communications for their assigned accounts.
  • On at least an annual basis meets with clients to review all aspects of the client's accounts including a review of asset allocation, account objectives, performance, and any other client service matters as appropriate.
  • Implements portfolio changes that originate both from internal and external investment managers in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with the client's investment policy statement.
  • Develops and analyzes client's needs and resources. Sets up system diaries for accounts to ensure proper execution of client expectations. Assists in transfer and funding of new accounts.
  • Confers with IMA clients and their advisors regarding investment policy, requests for distributions , tax matters and other matters as requested by clients.
  • Ensures compliance with Wealth Management's policies and procedures. Completes all initial and periodic regulatory account reviews.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with professional, community and other Centers of Influence to foster the division's long-term goals and enhance the position of CBB and CT.
  • Develops position of "trusted advisor" with clients through timely, accurate and professional client service.
  • Provides financial planning for client beyond asset allocation to include, but not limited to, estate planning, retirement planning, gifting programs, and education savings.
  • Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; 1-3 years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and interpret and create bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

None required.

COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE SKILLS

Understanding of trust software and report generation is required along with a working knowledge of Excel, Bloomberg and other industry-related programs.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Organized and adaptable, with the ability to confidently present to senior leadership and effectively manage multiple priorities in dynamic, interruption-prone environments.
  • Skilled in promoting and supporting Wealth Management Services, collaborating with business development officers and referral sources to assist in closing new business opportunities.
  • Experienced mentor and resource for Relationship Managers, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and professional development.

Salary range: $87,612.00 to $124,846.00 annually
