Job Summary:

The Compensation Analyst supports the analysis, administration, and continuous improvement of Hydro's compensation programs. This role works closely with HR, management, and business leaders to ensure compensation practices are equitable, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. Based in the Hydro Extrusion North America Business Unit Headquarters in Rosemont, IL, the position offers a hybrid/flexible work schedule and plays a key role in maintaining compensation data integrity, supporting pay initiatives, and driving strategic compensation projects.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Compensation Analyst
  • Experience within manufacturing a plus

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Certification in SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or CCP preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, and Mercer WIN systems preferred
  • Proven analytical and presentation skills supporting compensation initiatives
  • Functional knowledge of compensation methodologies and pay structures
  • Strong aptitude in data analysis and research methods
  • Solid understanding of HR systems, job architecture, and salary structures

Job Responsibilities:


  • Conduct job evaluations using Mercer's International Position Evaluation (IPE) methodology to ensure role alignment and internal equity
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders on pay initiatives and changes including promotions, transfers, and other compensation actions.
  • Administer and support the annual merit and short-term incentive review process, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
  • Lead and contribute to strategic compensation projects that enhance program effectiveness and employee engagement
  • Manage and update compensation records, reports, and documentation to support compliance and decision-making
  • Submit and interpret data for salary surveys and benchmarking studies to inform market competitiveness
  • Assess pay equity trends and recommend data-driven solutions to promote fairness and transparency
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation regulations through ongoing monitoring and analysis
  • Collaborate with HR and business managers to maintain and enhance job descriptions that reflect evolving responsibilities
  • Perform FLSA testing and support broader compensation compliance initiatives
  • Develop and deliver compensation training materials for HR partners, people managers, and employees
  • Partner with team members to review compensation policies and practices, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
