Job Summary
The Manager, National Repair Center oversees all aspects of repair center operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, timely turnaround, and adherence to quality and financial goals. This role directs a team of supervisors, technicians, and coordinators responsible for product repairs, inventory management, and service documentation. The manager ensures smooth workflow, high repair standards, and optimal resource utilization while fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily operations of the National Repair Center to meet company goals for customer satisfaction, revenue, and profitability.
- Monitor technician workloads to ensure timely repairs and compliance with quality standards.
- Review and approve service orders, repair documentation, and correspondence to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the return and analysis of defective parts with OEM vendors to maintain high-quality standards and adequate inventory.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering on product reliability, MDR, and customer complaint investigations.
- Oversee spare parts, test equipment, and loaner inventory to ensure availability and accurate tracking.
- Recommend spare part purchases and programs to enhance product performance and generate additional revenue.
- Conduct audits of the repair center to maintain proper static handling, clean workspace conditions, and calibrated test equipment.
- Supervise and develop staff, providing training, performance feedback, and ongoing professional support.
- Manage loaner equipment inventory and coordinate repair and return processes for international customers.
What You'll Bring
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of technical repair and leadership experience in a service or repair environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to interpret reports and manage budgets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in PC applications and familiarity with test equipment and mechanical tools.
- Ability to handle technical challenges and dissatisfied customers with professionalism and composure.
Work Environment
This position is based in Mahwah, NJ, in a repair center and office environment. Light lifting and occasional mechanical assembly/disassembly may be required. Regular collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal departments is essential.
