Description Land Surveyor in Training II - Tavares, FL! Halff has an opening for a new graduate land surveyor in training II, with opportunities to learn and work with licensed Florida PSMs and seek future survey licensure. Learn about Halff and our 75th Anniversary What you will do: Organize research for field surveys. Join and assist field crews as needed. Reduce field observations. Prepare data for drafting. Prepare legal descriptions. Assist the PSM by preparing Survey Reports. Prepare deed sketches. Prepare COGO calculations. Assist the PSM with the Boundary and Right of Way Analysis. Minimum 2 years of experience in the field directing survey crew for boundary, topographic, site, utility and construction surveys. What you will need: Experience as a Survey Technician. 2-5 years of survey experience counting towards licensure. Previous field experience as a surveyor. Experience in drafting survey maps and plats. FDOT, Public Works, or Land Development survey experience is a plus. Experience with Civil 3D is a plus. Experience with Trimble Business Center is a plus. Bachelors in Geomatics or equivalent survey focused degree for licensure required.
