  • Estimated annual base pay: $85,000(minimum) - $110,000(midpoint) - $136,000(maximum)

Key Responsibilities:

FinancialReporting,Planning and Analysis

Responsible for developing,analyzing,and communicating financial plans,budgets,and variances for the engineeringand PMOdepartments.

  • FacilitateAnnual OperatingPlan/Forecast/1+3/LRP

  • Develop detailed understanding of revenue and expenses including headcount, contractorspend, programexpenses

  • Maintain up-to-date YTD revenue/spend by program vs forecast/plan

  • Support Program teams on periodic Estimate at Completion (EAC) reconciliation

  • Analyze and present department spend performance vs plan/forecast, including headcount performance

  • Develop andmaintainreconciliation between Planisware(engineering project management software)and internal financial reporting, including budget rates vs actual rates

  • Develop detailed multi-year capital spend plan and track/report on actual vsplan variances

  • Prepare and present financial reports to the engineering leadership team and other stakeholders, including variance analysis, financial statements, andKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Cost Management

Work withtheengineering team toidentifycost-saving opportunities andoptimizeresource allocation.

  • Facilitate monthly project portfolio analysis review with leadership

  • Support projectreviews/gatereviews/project changes requests by ensuring accuracy of reported results and actions to balance the portfolio to planned spend levels

  • Support new project initiatives to ensure the overall engineering portfolioremainsin line with plan/forecast

  • Identifycost-saving opportunities andhelp to manage engineering spend to planned levels

  • Analyze the performance of the engineering departmentstoidentifyareas of improvement and provide recommendations to the engineering leadership team

  • Support the customer proposal process by reviewing budgeting calculator for accuracy and advocating forappropriate customerfunding

Government Cost+ Reporting

  • Perform project control functions including billing and project cost monitoringto ensureaccuracy inaccruedmonthly cost reporting on U.S. Government contracts

  • Prepare monthly invoice support tofacilitatetimelybilling

  • Assistproject managers in forecasting future spend and overall project budget management

Training

Engage with the engineering team to improve understanding ofWoodward's financial processes and grow theteam'sfinancial knowledge.

Business Strategy

May work with engineering leadership team to develop and implement business strategies that align with the company's overall goals andobjectives.

Key Skills:

  • Financial Analysis: Ability to perform detailed financial analysis and modeling, including using financial software and tools.

  • Accounting: Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including understanding financial statements and financial reporting requirements.Familiaritywith ASC 606 is a big plus.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Ability to prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts for the company, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.

  • Data Analysis: Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to collect, organize, and analyze financial data.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability toidentifyand analyze financial issues and recommend solutions.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, including the ability toidentifyerrors and discrepancies in financial data.

  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.

  • Technical Skills:Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel(e.g.,working with Pivot tables and creating Macros),SAP,financial software, and other financial tools.

  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of the company's business and industry, including the ability to understand market trends and competitive dynamics.

Successful Candidates Typically Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in AccountingorFinance

  • Experience with Earned ValueManagement

  • Experience supporting Government contracts
