Job Description

UMKC Office of Undergraduate Admissions is accepting applications for a Welcome Center Visit Coordinator. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Campus Visits, this position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and assisting in Welcome Center events and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Management of Group Visits
    • Manage flow of requests and handle confirmation and communication of scheduled visits
    • Build group visits in CRM Slate
    • Track and report on group visit data to leadership
    • Day of contact and management
    • Primary presenter for group visits
  • Management of Daily Visits
    • Create visit schedule for the academic year and summer
    • Coordinate with Academic Units to schedule joint visits
    • Manage Slate operations for all daily visits including building the visits and communications
    • Ensure all daily visits are appropriately staffed and run smoothly
  • Middle School Week
    • Coordinate campus participation in week-long visit experience specifically for middle school partners once per semester
    • Oversee day of programming, staffing, and communication
  • Office Operations
    • Monitor guest accommodation requests and schedule accommodations as needed
    • Present on UMKC information including admissions process and financial assistance
    • Answer questions from prospective, admitted and confirmed student via phone, email, chat, and in-person
    • Rotate as primary office support for the UMKC Ambassador team
    • Event staffing, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of experience in event planning, office management and/or higher education
  • Willingness to work evening and weekend hours when needed
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
Anticipated Hiring Range

$18.87 - $22.00 per hour commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
