DescriptionThe University of California San Diego is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and care of athletic injuries and medical concerns. Develop, coordinate, and administer a comprehensive sports medical program for Intercollegiate Athletics as well as perform professional and administrative services as assigned. Athletic trainers will be present at all home and some away competitive events, maintain standard office hours, be present or on call for all practices. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced athletic training professional with a full understanding of industry practices and campus policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The incumbent must follow the athletic philosophy consistent with that of the UC San Diego Athletic Department, NCAA, California Collegiate Athletic Association and a commitment to diversity in all of its forms. This position will require night and weekend work as well as travel. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $71,600 - $127,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $34.29 - $61.02 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
