Engineering Aide - Per Diem

Test Devices by Schenck has an exciting opportunity for a 2nd - 4th year engineering student working toward their Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering!

We are offering a per diem position for about 10-20 hours per week. The Engineering Aide will report directly to the Industrial Engineering Manager.

Primary duties include:

• Assist with mechanical design and drafting using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with engineers to design or modify fixtures, tooling, and test hardware.
• Contribute to the creation and updating of process documentation and work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying inefficiencies and safety protocol.
• Assist in equipment setup, optimization, assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Conduct inventories of machinery and equipment and develop effective tracking and management methods.
• Gather and organize test/process data, analyze results to identify trends.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Duration/details:

This is an in-person position. You will work about 10-20 hours per week, depending on project availability. Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. You will be entitled to the MA Statutory Sick Leave.

• Must be a US Person.
• Be a current 2nd - 4th year student at an accredited college or university.
• Be working toward a bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial preferred).
• Have GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good standing.
• Have familiarity with CAD, SolidWorks preferred.
• Have strong PC skills, including MS office software.
• Live local to the Hudson, MA area.
