Job Description

Electrician

The role of the Electrician is to install, maintain, and repair solar electrical systems and battery storage in residential buildings and to install electrical systems in hospital grade MRI buildings to ensure that they operate safely, efficiently, and effectively.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems, 120/208 volt, 480 volt, fire alarm, and others for hospital systems
  • Assembling, installing, testing and maintaining Electrical wiring and equipment
  • Identifying and troubleshooting electrical problems in residential homes
  • Conducting routine maintenance, repair or replacement of solar electrical components or systems
  • Assessing electrical systems and suggesting/implementing necessary updates and modifications
  • Following electrical code, state and local building regulations ensuring all electrical work is in compliance
  • Overseeing and mentoring Apprentices
  • Understanding all aspects of, and becoming proficient in, solar, storage, energy management, and developing technologies, including storage systems such as Tesla, Generac, Enphase, etc.
  • Managing all job closeout procedures to include inspections, job write-ups, and returns of unused job materials

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience and/or training:

  • Professionalism expected at all times
  • Understand NEC requirements for hospital installations
  • Verbal, written, analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with, leading, and coaching in a team environment
  • 3+ years experience working as an Electrician

Technology/Equipment:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
