Summary of Position

Under general supervision of the Senior Manager People Operations, the (Contractor) People Operations Specialist supports Curium's commercial launch by executing high volume offers and onboarding. Working with HR Operations and Talent Acquisition, the specialist prepares offers, manages pre hire documentation and compliance steps, updates the HRIS for new hire setup, and coordinates Day 1 readiness through start date. The work is process driven, time sensitive, and requires excellent accuracy, collaboration, and follow through.



This position will serve as a critical role in transforming how Curium delivers people processes and strategy to the Company.

Essential Functions

  • Manages the pre-boarding and on-boarding of new hires including management of pre-employment offer and associated paperwork, background check processing, drug testing administration, e-verify registration, orientation and email communications to new employees
  • Maintains employee data in HRIS system including entering new hires, salary changes, transfers, terminations, etc.
  • Administers compliance process for authorization to work and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) requirements related to background screening and drug test requirements
  • Creates ad-hoc and standard reporting including upon request and provides regularly scheduled reports as needed
  • Manages and supports various HR and non-HR related projects
  • May perform basic must have checks (visual review, pharma experience, valid driver's license, must live in market, education requirements).
  • Coordinate handoff with Talent Acquisition/People Partners when criteria are met or disposition when criteria is not met.
  • Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Degree required, Associate Degree or higher preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in human resources in an associate, specialist or generalist role; experience in onboarding and with volume hiring is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software; experience with HR systems helpful.
  • Strong customer focus and process orientation, with ability to balance stakeholder interests.
