Early Intervention - Speech-Language Pathologist (Full Time) About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Early Intervention team serving infants and toddlers (ages 0-3), who are experiencing delays in communication and feeding disorders. This role involves providing home-based services to support communication development in young children and coaching families through education and collaboration. Scope of practice includes:
- Addressing articulation delays or disorders.
- Encouraging vocabulary growth, sentence structure, and social communication.
- Assisting children with difficulties in sucking, chewing, swallowing, or transitioning to solid foods.
- Socio-pragmatic skills
- Empowering caregivers with strategies to support communication and feeding during daily routines. Also, providing education on developmental milestones and how to encourage progress at home.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized family treatment plans (IFSP).
- Provide direct therapy services in natural environments (home, daycare).
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IFSP development.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Rhode Island SLP license (or eligibility).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience with pediatric populations preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
