NOTE: This position is funded through an external grant. Continued employment beyond the fiscal year is contingent upon continued funding.

Position Summary: This grant-funded position supports the ACCESS (Academic Connection, Caring, Engagement & Student Success) Title V Project, which focuses on improving student retention and completion rates. The role manages day-to-day administrative operations, including office tasks, scheduling, communications, and recordkeeping. It also provides frontline support for students, staff, and stakeholders. This position reports to the ACCESS Activity Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the ACCESS Grant Office.
- Promote a customer service-focused environment that is responsive to student needs.
- Organize and maintain office files and supplies; coordinate purchasing and travel arrangements.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and events for grant staff.
- Coordinate logistics and prepare materials for meetings.
- Maintain budget records and communicate with the ENMU-Roswell Business Office.
- Draft correspondence, agendas, memos, and meeting minutes.
- Manage internal and external communications, including newsletters and promotional materials.
- Assist with data collection, entry, and maintenance for grant reporting.
- Provide administrative support for peer mentoring programs, professional development initiatives, and community events.
- Perform other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

Requirements
-
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Associate degree or two years of experience in administrative support.
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred:
- Administrative assistant experience working in Higher Education.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish).

Working Conditions
-
- Work is performed during normal work hours, with some evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
- Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
