Airgas USA, LLC is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Class A Delivery Driver to transport and deliver industrial gases and welding supplies to customers. This role involves operating commercial motor vehicles, adhering to all DOT regulations, and providing excellent customer service.

* Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers, to transport compressed and liquid industrial gases, welding equipment, and supplies to customer sites and Airgas facilities.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, ensuring all safety and operational components are in working order.
* Safely load and unload cylinders, bulk tanks, and other materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
* Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, in compliance with DOT regulations.
* Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, trip logs, and vehicle inspection reports.
* Interact professionally and courteously with customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
* Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, including those pertaining to hazardous materials transportation.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members regarding delivery schedules, delays, and potential issues.
* Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
* May be required to assist with cylinder filling, bulk tank hook-ups, or other warehouse duties as needed.

________________________ Are you a MATCH? Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) and Tanker endorsements.

  • Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (Class A).

  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within the last 3 years.

  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, particularly those concerning hazardous materials.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull frequently, and maneuver heavy cylinders with appropriate equipment.

  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work outdoor and occasionally on weekends.

Preferred Quaifications:

  • Safety and compliance: Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and procedures, as well as the ability to handle hazardous materials safely. This includes proper cylinder handling, storage, and securing techniques.

  • Technical skills: Ability to operate vehicles with air brakes and familiarity with on-board computers (ELDs) are often needed. Basic computer skills for data entry are also important.

  • Physical abilities: Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, which can include push or pull , climbing, and standing/walking for extended periods.

  • Customer service: Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients effectively.

  • Attention to detail: High attention to detail is required for tasks like checking labels and ensuring orders are accurate.

  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle issues that may arise during delivery.

  • Time management: Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure timely deliveries.
