• Selects, trains/orients, assigns department staff, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. Adheres to Prisma Health policy in disciplining/terminating employees.Ensures the appropriate utilization of the Prisma Health progressive discipline policy for employees with performance, behavior, or attendance problems.

• Plans and manages the day-to-day operations, procedures and processes required to meet established goals and objectives.

• Interacts and communicates with co-workers and customers of the department for problem solving and achieving established goals and objectives.

• Demonstrates excellent rapport and the ability to encourage open communication with staff and resolve interdepartmental problems and conflicts.

• Responsible for meeting financial targets, FTE budgets and other assigned operational expectations for Material Services.

• Conducts staff meetings at least monthly providing updates and communication striving to maintain a high level of employee satisfaction.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a supervisor job which may have direct supervision of team members which may include hire/termination authority, disciplinary authority, and performance management responsibilities.May have budget input or responsibilities. Job is not considered a member of management staff.
