This position works closely with and provides direct support to the Assistant Director - International Curriculum in maintaining the accuracy and consistency of curriculum and articulation systems for international transfer and dual degree programs.

Under the Assistant Director's guidance, the position assists with ensuring transfer credit rules, prerequisite data, and articulation charts align with university policies. It collaborates with Arizona International, university departments, and international partners to help track curricular changes and assess their impact on global programs.

The role also supports process improvement, documentation management, and operational tasks that enhance the efficiency of international academic initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

Curriculum Documentation and Articulation Maintenance

  • Assist in updating and auditing articulation charts for accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the review of transfer course codes to ensure they are current and properly reflected in the university's articulation system, in coordination with the Office of Transfer Credit and Articulation.
  • Under the direction of the Assistant Director, help maintain and revise student-facing curricular documents for dual degree programs to ensure accuracy and usability.

Prerequisite Systems Management and Advising Collaboration

  • Maintain the prerequisite database and stay informed about evolving prerequisite policies across programs under the guidance of the Assistant Director.
  • Coordinate with academic advisors to resolve prerequisite questions.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director and advising team to address curriculum-related questions and provide accurate information to support academic planning.

Curriculum Monitoring and Impact Analysis

  • Assist the Assistant Director - International Curriculum in tracking curricular changes at the department and university levels.
  • Support the review and communication of how curricular updates may impact dual degree and international transfer programs.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director to ensure timely updates to program materials and pathway documentation.

Transfer Credit and Pathway Program Support

  • Support Assistant Director with transfer evaluation process for dual degree and international transfer programs.
  • Support the Assistant Director in organizing and tracking transfer credit evaluations to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with the development of transfer pathway programs to ensure alignment with graduation timelines defined in partnership agreements.

Process Improvement and Operational Support

  • Assist the Assistant Director - International Curriculum in identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes related to transfer credit, articulation, and curriculum tracking.
  • Support the creation or refinement of internal workflows, tracking tools, and communication templates to streamline collaboration across teams.
  • Provide administrative and operational support as needed to enhance overall team effectiveness and efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail skills and knowledge in managing complex data or documentation systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and audiences.
  • Proficiency skills with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and similar data-tracking or reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency skills and experience working with international students and global partners.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to monitor, report, and communicate progress toward goals.
  • Adaptability skills in learning new technologies and developing innovative solutions to operational challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate the curricular impact of policy or program changes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience in academic program coordination, curriculum management, transfer credit evaluation, or related higher education administrative work.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in higher education, curriculum and instruction, or a related discipline.
  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in curriculum operations, academic advising, or transfer credit evaluation within a university setting.
  • Familiarity with University of Arizona student information systems and academic policies.
  • Experience supporting international or dual degree programs.
  • Proven experience developing or improving operational workflows, databases, or tracking systems to enhance efficiency.
