Position Summary

We
are seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented, responsible individual with
excellent communication skills who can commit to working for AT LEAST one year
as an assistant to the GEO international advisors. The International Advising Assistant will be
responsible for helping to process immigration documents for international
students and scholars, run accurate and detailed statistical reports on the
international student and scholar population, prepare and edit orientation
materials, enter and verify data, and help maintain paper, database, and web
information. Student may also be asked to assist in orientation-related
activities and processing. The
individual must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and must be capable
of working independently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be
    enrolled as a full-time student at UNM.
  • Excellent
    oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience
    with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Desire
    to be busy and work independently.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous
    database and data entry experience.
  • Previous
    experience with creating publications, updating web pages, and/or other
    creative materials preferred
