Role Summary
As part of this journey, the Social team is seeking a dedicated, front-line expert to drive our daily presence. This crucial role sits within the Digital Marketing Team. The Social Media Sr. Specialist is responsible for executing the brand's voice and vision across all social channels, driving daily operations, creative execution, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will combine deep platform expertise, creative storytelling, and strong operational discipline. They will manage the full social content lifecycle, from planning and publishing to engagement and reporting. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and be an expert in community building.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Publishing: Manage the entire content lifecycle across all core social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, YouTube), from planning to final optimization and real-time execution.
- Community Management: Lead daily community management efforts, acting as the primary voice of the brand to monitor, engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster a positive, authentic online community.
- Copywriting & Content QA: Develop engaging, on-brand copy for all social posts, ensuring content is optimized for each platform and adheres to brand style guidelines.
- Editorial Calendar Planning: Own and maintain the comprehensive social media editorial calendar, coordinating cross-functionally to align social content with key company announcements, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track, measure, and analyze performance across all social media efforts, delivering actionable reports on content performance, community growth, and campaign effectiveness to key stakeholders.
- Escalation Management: Support our escalation protocol for high-priority or sensitive comments, crisis scenarios, and complex customer service issues identified on social channels.
- Project Coordination & Workflow Optimization: Serve as the primary social contact in cross-functional projects and own the internal processes for the Social team. This includes:
- Developing and implementing efficient workflows for post creation, review, delivery, and quality control of social media posts.
- Creating detailed plans, status updates, and timelines to support social projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely execution.
- Optimizing workflows and systems to track project creative development, content calendars, and multiple campaign production schedules.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required
- 3-5 years of experience managing organic social accounts for reputable brands
- Prior responsibilities should include: platform management, content ideation and development, and publishing
- Experience with publishing tools and other complementary tools for managing social accounts (Sprouts, Figma proficiency preferred)
- Good under high pressure and high volume, and expert multi-tasker
- A collaborative spirit, an expert at building relationships and getting things done with a positive attitude
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and a willingness to pivot as needed
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality, maintaining brand standards and best practices
- Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $87,300 to $109,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
