Job Summary

Supervise outreach and student advisement services in support of the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OFSA), which administers student financial assistance programs including scholarships, grants, loans, and student work arrangements. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: prospective and enrolled students; parents, staff, external entities, and the community in general. This position typically will advise and counsel: prospective and enrolled students; parents; and staff. This position will supervise outreach and advisement staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Coordinate development of publications and web content in promoting services of OFSA and opportunities for student financial aid.

Job Duty 2 -
Supervise and participate in providing advice to students regarding various aspects of OFSA programs including eligibility, appeals review and academic standards.

Job Duty 3 -
Coordinate the periodic review of all aid recipients records with regard to compliance with Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Job Duty 4 -
Administer outreach and communications programs in compliance with applicable consumer information regulations.

Job Duty 5 -
Plan, organize, train, supervise and monitor performance of assigned staff.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Five to seven years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge of the processes involved in financial aid management within a university with specialized related knowledge of program communications. Additional skills include supervision and team leadership, communications, training/presentation and customer service and use of office related and specialized computer applications.

Anticipated salary rate of $90,000 to $100,000 commensurate with qualifications
