Covia is looking for a Specialist Business Process who will have a positive impact on the Operations team across our network of plants. As a Specialist Business Process, you will be responsible for improving the overall cost and reliability of Covia's processing equipment by partnering with plants and utilizing data from multiple sources to improve operating outcomes that meet Covia's production and safety guidelines.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:



  • Working with sites to support Covia's Operations Management System with objectives that include:

    • Improve end-user experience with business applications
    • Providing the tools and approaches needed by teams to deliver
    • Identify systems to support equipment availability and loss prevention


  • Responsible for multiple sites.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and IT to support and enhance ERP (IFS Cloud) configurations and modifications.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with the Power BI team to refine and maintain operations KPIs and dashboards.
  • Support the implementation and rollout of new software tools across multiple sites.
  • Troubleshoot user-submitted IT tickets related to business applications and data issues.
  • Partner with Maintenance & Reliability teams to support data-driven reliability initiatives.
  • Work closely with business analysts and functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure data governance and consistency across systems and departments.
  • Ensure EHS compliance and adherence to internal standards for safe and sustainable operations.
  • Travel Requirements 50%.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and interdependent departments as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned



The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Engineering, or Science from an accredited college or university, required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Operations role
  • Ability to train plant employees in problem solving techniques to deliver results
  • Self-motivated to resolve challenges and circumvent obstacles
  • Ability to openly discuss opportunities to improve the performance of the business
  • Strong communication skills are essential both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, ability to solve complex problems, ability to innovate, and a strategic business perspective and financial acumen
