Position summary:

Perform continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS) instrumentation and electrical functions. Provide technical support for the CEMS programmable controllers, interface with data acquisition and handling system (DAHS), and all related environmental compliance tasks for coal fired steam generating and gas combustion turbine processes.

Pay Range: $34.71 - $52.19 per hour (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Reporting Relationship: Maintenance Manager

Location: Gillette, Wyoming

Essential Functions:
* Work under minimal supervision to repair, service and maintain CEMS instrumentation, hardware, and software.
* Maintain CEMS PLC control systems and related equipment, including programming changes, troubleshooting, and required preventative and corrective maintenance.
* Maintain documentation records of calibration, tests, and certification of CEMS instrument equipment.
* Work with contractors and their activities on assigned projects.
* Communicate work progress to supervisor/foreperson.
* Assist Operations & Maintenance department staff as required on CEMS and environmental compliance.
* Utilize the work management process to document and report work requested, assigned, and completed.
* Support scheduled and unscheduled call-out support as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Maintain CEMS logs on equipment operation.
* Provide information for various environmental reports.
* Attend off-site training programs as assigned on hardware, software, and environmental compliance.

What Is Required:
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* MSHA High and Low Voltage certified. Upon Hire
* This position requires driving responsibilities. You must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company and insurer standards.
* This role will be required to travel up to 10% of the time.

What Is Desired:
* Associate's Degree in electric or electronics or equivalent technical/military training
* 4 years power plant experience to include steam turbine generating units and/or gas combustion turbine generating units preferred.
* Two years hands on experience working on CEMS equipment desirable.
* Working knowledge of coal fired and combustion turbine power generation plant equipment and system processes.
* Working knowledge of test equipment, signal generators, relay test sets, oscilloscopes, and personal computers.
* Working knowledge of PLC basics, preferably GE PAC System.
* Working knowledge of basic computer networking.
* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
* Ability to learn plant processes and interpret data.
* Ability to interpret control drawings and PIDs.
* Basic skills in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel).
* Perform work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work on low voltage systems.
* Ability to operate a company vehicle, forklift, and a variety of aerial equipment.
* Familiarity with HxGN EAM maintenance software desirable.
* Calibration and maintenance of process control equipment. CEMS, DAHS, and PLC familiarity desirable.
