Description and Requirements Who We Are This is an on-site position working out of Riesel, TX. The Opportunity: This position will perform intermediate to complex work at renewable energy projects including solar PV and energy storage power plants as assigned and qualifed independently maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting AC and DC circuits ranging from medium voltage 34.5kV to 12VDC as well as mentoring junior technicians in these activities. The equipment that this position will maintain includes station service electrical equipment such as motors and motor controls, electrical switchgear, transformers, inverters, solar PV panels, BESS systems panel tracking mechanisms, electrical protective devices, main and auxiliary generators, lighting, power supplies, HVAC systems security systems and battery support systems. This position will be responsible for independently troubleshooting and overhauling such equipment and perform and assist in planning preventative and predictive maintenance activities for the aforementioned equipment. Solar Technician III has a higher level of responsibilities and qualifications than level one (I) or two (II) and is expected to be a subject matter expert and a mentor for junior level techs within the safety and reliability-based maintenance areas.
