The
Department is seeking dedicated and reliable
911 Telecommunicators to join the Communications Center on an 11-month contract basis. The primary purpose of this position is to operate the E9-1-1 Communications Center effectively and efficiently 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring timely law enforcement and emergency response.
This role requires the ability to collect, process, prioritize, and disseminate critical information from and to multiple resources and agencies under stressful, high-pressure conditions |

Requirements and Preferences
| Work Schedule |
Full-time (40 hours/week standard). Must cover 24/7/365 operations, including holidays and overnight shifts. Work cycle is 84 hours every two weeks. |
| Other Work/Responsibilities |
- Operate multiple computer systems simultaneously, including CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch), DCIN (Division of Criminal Information Network), and various alarm systems.
- Manage computerized multi-line/channel telephone and radio systems, performing continuous multi-task duties.
- Act as a vital link, listening, documenting, and communicating clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, over the telephone, radio, and in person.
- Accurately interpret audible noises, signals, and tones from various computer operating systems and programs.
- Ensure continued, uninterrupted University operations during periods of adverse weather and/or emergency situations that may require the University to close. Employee is required to report to work when scheduled during these types of events.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Sufficient experience to demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure (Minimum 1 year relevant experience preferred).
