NC State Study Abroad is seeking an experienced professional to manage all front office operations and provide administrative support critical to the success of study abroad programs. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Advising, this position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the university and in collaboration with all areas of the Study Abroad Office. |

| Essential Job Duties |
The Study Abroad Program Associate serves as the welcoming first point of contact for students, families, and campus partners exploring global opportunities. In this role, you'll combine your organization, communication, and empathy skills to support students from initial inquiry through program completion. You'll help maintain accurate records and ensure smooth coordination across offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for students, families, and partner offices encouraging participation, highlighting the benefits of studying abroad and fostering a supporting environment from initial interest to re-entry
- Manages the primary study abroad email account and front reception.
- Provide accurate, courteous responses to inquiries about study abroad policies and procedures, helping resolve challenges as they arise.
- Support the study abroad application process, maintain course pre-approvals, and process transcripts with academic units and the Registrar.
- Prepare group travel packets, monitor pre-departure requirements, and coordinate post-program evaluations using Qualtrics.
- Manage the student travel registry (International Travel Gateway), process insurance enrollments and billing, and communicate compliance requirements.
- Hire, train, and supervise student employees to support office operations and special projects.

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Effective communication and listening skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and build positive relationships with students, families, and campus partners.
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy when managing records and meeting deadlines.
Experience working in a higher education or international education environment. - Collaborative and adaptable, with the judgment to make sound decisions and contribute to a supportive team culture.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and database systems to manage student and program information.
