Description
As a Door Fabricator, you'll bring custom hollow metal and stainless-steel doors and panels to life. From precision forming and expert welding to assembling high-quality, made-to-order products, your skills will help power industries, secure facilities, and support critical infrastructure. This is hands-on, high-impact work in a modern manufacturing environment - perfect for problem-solvers, builders, and doers who take pride in their work. What You'll Do
- Bring custom designs to life by interpreting shop orders, drawings, and hardware templates.
- Fabricate door and panel components using CNC mechanical shears, hydraulic press brakes, grinders, welders, saws, and more.
- Perform MIG/GMAW welding, plasma cutting, bending, spot welding, grinding, polishing, and finishing.
- Work with a variety of materials: stainless steel, galvanized steel, adhesives, caulks, acids, cleaners, and pre-paint treatments.
- Prep and assemble door skins, cores, and structural components to exact specifications.
- Maintain exceptional quality, safety, and craftsmanship while working efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Operate forklifts safely and manage raw material flow throughout the shop.
- Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, leads, and internal departments.
- Contribute your skills across the facility, including warehouse support and special projects.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Basic math and geometry ability.
- Ability to read and understand safety instructions, manuals, and shop documentation.
- Experience with welding, metal forming, or fabrication a plus.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain through internal training).
Physical & Work Environment This is an active, hands-on manufacturing role:
- Regular standing, bending, lifting (up to 50-70 lbs.), and material handling.
- Use of PPE: safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and more.
- Fast-paced production environment with loud machinery, temperature variations, and airborne particles.
- Heavy loads assisted by cranes, carts, and lifting equipment.
