Job Description:

As a Paralegal, you will act as a liaison between the Legal team, external third parties, and other internal stakeholder teams to review and properly respond to various types of legal matters. Additionally, this role will be involved in reviewing and managing a variety of customer and vendor contracts, as well as supporting ad-hoc legal projects. To be successful in this role you will have strong organizational skills, a good knowledge of legal operations, and a willingness to continually evaluate and improve our processes to make things more efficient and productive for our business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review non-disclosure agreements, including third-party forms and redlines to company standard templates.

  • Oversee end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including stakeholder coordination, execution oversight, retention protocols, and audit support.

  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies within the Legal department and across stakeholder departments.

  • Develop and execute best practices to enhance departmental effectiveness and service delivery.

  • Review and negotiate vendor and customer agreements of increasing complexity, including Memorandums of Understanding, Purchase Orders, Leases, Software Licenses, Consulting Agreements, and Master Services Agreements.

  • Maintain and enhance contract playbooks and standardized processes.

  • Coordinate annual compliance requirements for foreign subsidiaries, including liaison with third-party corporate secretarial service providers. Maintain comprehensive foreign entity database and ensure regulatory adherence across all jurisdictions.

  • Provide contract interpretation guidance to business teams and facilitate resolution of vendor contractual disputes.

  • Serve as primary legal liaison for cross-functional projects, ensuring legal requirements are clearly communicated and implemented.

  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to company operations and industry standards. Provide analysis and recommendations on potential business impacts.

  • Manage litigation hold implementation, document preservation protocols, and discovery support including collection, review, and production processes. Maintain comprehensive litigation tracking systems.

  • Represent the Legal team in cross-functional projects and ensure that Legal's requirements are understood and implemented by other teams and departments.

  • Process and review outside counsel invoices for accuracy and compliance. Lead onboarding processes for new legal service providers and maintain vendor relationships.

  • Perform ad hoc administrative tasks including legal filing systems, external counsel coordination, correspondence management, and other duties as assigned to support Legal team operations.

  • Prior exposure to legal documents, concepts and workflows (prior contract negotiating or review experience strongly preferred)

  • Experience working cross-functionally

  • Tech savvy and proficient with technology applications, including experience using contract management and e-discovery software

  • Excellent written, presentation, organization and communication skills

  • Practical knowledge of civil litigation, including issues pertaining to civil procedure, discovery, document production, confidentiality, privilege, and motion practice

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details

  • Ability to confidentially handle confidential and sensitive matters

  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle high stress situations in a professional, business-like manner

This position is US - Remote Eligible (Pacific time zone preferred). The role may include occasional work at an FFI office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. FFI can employ in states where we have registered entities. The pay range is $31.55 - $39.45per hour. This is dependent on the work location of the candidate selected. FormFactormaintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Pay Range:

Pay Range Explained:

This role in Portland, Oregon pays between $31.55 and $41.42 per hour, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You'll also be eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
