POSITION SPECIFICS

The Eberly College of Science Biology Departmentat The Pennsylvania State Universityis seeking qualified candidates for an Administrative Support Assistant - Senior supportposition.

This position will provide administrative and financial support by performing the following tasks:

  • Collecting and organizing necessary documentation such as receipts, travel information, and related materials to submit to the appropriate financial hubs for processing.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Research Office, the financial hubs at both the college and university levels.
  • Provide backup support to the Administrative Manager for budget-related functions and processes.
  • Routine and regular communication with faculty members and other members of the Biology department.
  • Collect and maintain departmental sponsored account requests.
  • Schedule and maintain department conference calendars.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong investigative skills with the ability to use creative thinking to improve existing and develop new duties and business processes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, monitor, and meet overlapping deadlines.
  • Positive, professional, and efficient work style.
  • Initiative, collegiality, accuracy and promote a culture that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse team members.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Associate Degree 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

Additional Information:

After a successful training period, this position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $42,100.00 - $61,000.00.
