LinTech Global Inc. is recruiting for a Cybersecurity Specialist II to support our contract at the USAMRIID in Frederick, MD.

Target Salary: $100K

Position Overview:

The Cybersecurity Specialist II supports the Cybersecurity Engineer Team Lead in executing daily cybersecurity operations, maintaining compliance with Federal, DoD, and Army regulations, and protecting information systems across the organization. This position plays a vital role in safeguarding mission-critical systems by performing risk management, vulnerability assessments, compliance tracking, incident response, and policy implementation. The Specialist collaborates with IT, research, and operations personnel to maintain a strong cybersecurity posture and ensure readiness for audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews.

Job Duties:

Support the Team Lead in implementing and enforcing cybersecurity policies in alignment with AR 25-2, DoD 8570.01-M, and related directives.

Assist with maintaining and updating local cybersecurity policies, SOPs, guides, and best business practices.

Recommend process improvements to enhance compliance, efficiency, and training effectiveness.

Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Perform daily monitoring of cybersecurity systems to identify, analyze, and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.

Coordinate with IT teams to ensure timely patching, IAVA/IAVM compliance, and effective configuration management.

Provide input to vulnerability dashboards, metrics, and cybersecurity reporting deliverables.

Work collaboratively with the Team Lead and cybersecurity team to assess and reduce cyber risks.

RMF, ATO, and Assessment Support

Participate in security assessments and validation of system security baselines.

Maintain repositories for RMF and ATO documentation to ensure systems retain valid authorizations.

Conduct semi-annual compliance reviews and report findings to the Team Lead.

Prepare systems for inspections, audits, and assessments using Army-approved checklists and DHA guidance.

Coordinate with system owners and administrators to resolve POA&M items and continuous monitoring findings.

Apply knowledge and experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to support lifecycle cybersecurity compliance.

Reporting, Documentation & Deliverables

Assist in developing executive summaries, after-action reports, and required cybersecurity documentation.

Generate and support delivery of recurring reports, including training compliance, vulnerability status, and monthly scorecards.

Experience & Skills:

Direct experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Familiarity with IAVA/IAVM processes and vulnerability remediation tracking.

Knowledge of DoD, Army, and DHA cybersecurity requirements and standards.

Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a cybersecurity team and with system owners, IT personnel, and stakeholders.

Technical Skills:

The Candidate should have experience conducting security and risk assessments using NIST. RMF, DOD frameworks.

Familiarity using ServiceNow for generating and managing tickets

Proactively create, monitor and update the status of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) in EMASS to ensure weaknesses are resolved in accordance with their scheduled completion dates.

Experience with NIST 800-53 certification and accreditation process

Knowledge of Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes and ATO package development

Must have experience assisting with the execution, analysis, and remediation activities for the vulnerability management program using the Nessus and Tenable-ACAS Vulnerability scanning tools.

Experience with The Risk Management Framework

Experience with IAVA/ IAVM review and handling

Experience with Interpreting Security Scan results

Knowledge of Hardware/software security implementation

Required Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience supporting DoD or Federal systems.
  • Certifications: Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA-Security).
  • Security Clearance: A Secret Security Clearance is required to Start
