Position Summary

The Manager Quality Analytics is responsible to develop and implement the Quality Analytics program. This includes leading the organization's efforts in leveraging analytics and statistical best practices to identify strategic quality opportunities and evaluate the effectiveness of process improvement interventions. The Manager partners to implement analytic and statistical tools and techniques that drive the use of ID-PDSA, accepted process improvement methods and High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles and practices.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on quality analytic processes, tools, and best practices.

  • Implement best practice analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide quality strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.

  • Build, develop and maintain reporting systems, dashboards, and performance metrics using quality data visualization best practices.

  • Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables.

  • Examine, interpret and report results of quality initiatives to stakeholders.

  • Oversee the quality analytics data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc.

  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.

  • Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.

  • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health care or analytics related field required

  • Master's degree in health care or analytics related field preferred

  • Relevant certification in the specialty area required

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a professional or technical role/function in a healthcare or related setting as applicable to specialty

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in healthcare analytics and data visualization

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a supervisor or lead capacity

  • Previous Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R)

  • Previous Experience with data visualization software (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)

  • Previous experience with process improvement (lean or six sigma)

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $123,198.00 - $177,278.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
