Advantage Technical is currently seeking a Research and Development Systems Technician for a position in Waltham, MA.

Pay: $44 per hour

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in developing, validating, and executing test methods to support product and system verification activities.
  • Perform product characterization and analysis on new and incoming devices to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.
  • Support troubleshooting of new products and manufacturing processes by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized laboratory, ensure equipment readiness, and adhere to safety and quality protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation and standardized reports for internal engineering teams.
  • Uphold a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality by following the company's Quality Policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements.



Qualifications & Skills



  • High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in medical device R&D or related technical roles.
  • Proven ability to work independently on complex technical tasks requiring critical thinking, problem-solving, and initiative.
  • Skilled in identifying, defining, and resolving technical issues using a structured, analytical approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting technical data.
  • Experience with laboratory testing, instrumentation, or product verification in a regulated environment (medical device experience preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), validation protocols, and quality systems.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis, including Microsoft Excel and similar tools.
