Summary: The Salesforce AI Development Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of AI-powered solutions within Cencora's Salesforce ecosystem. This role drives innovation by integrating Salesforce's AI capabilities (e.g., Einstein AI, Agentforce) to enhance business processes, improve customer engagement, and enable data-driven decision-making. The manager will oversee a team of developers and AI specialists while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, impactful AI solutions aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of Salesforce developers, AI specialists, and analysts to deliver AI-powered solutions. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team. Be the single point of contact for all AI Initiatives for the Salesforce platform, in terms of Delivery, Stake holder management & Collaboration within the entire eco-system.
2. AI Solution Development:
Design and implement AI-driven features and functionalities within the Salesforce platform, leveraging tools such as Agentforce & Agentforce Voice, including any other Salesforce AI services that are applicable. Develop predictive models, recommendation systems, and workflows to improve business outcomes, customer experiences, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with multiple teams including enterprise AI governance council, other satellite systems to integrate machine learning models and algorithms into Salesforce workflows.
3. Salesforce Customization and Integration:
Oversee the customization and configuration of Salesforce to support AI solutions, including custom objects, Lightning components, and APIs. Ensure seamless integration of AI tools and solutions with other enterprise systems and third-party applications. Optimize data pipelines and architecture to enable real-time AI insights and recommendations.
4. Innovation and Strategy:
Drive the strategic vision for incorporating AI into Cencora's Salesforce ecosystem, aligning with business objectives and industry trends. Identify opportunities to utilize AI features within Salesforce to solve business challenges and create new value streams. Stay current on emerging AI technologies, Salesforce releases, and industry best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with business units, product owners, and IT leadership to understand requirements and deliver AI solutions that meet business needs. Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables. Provide regular updates to leadership on AI development progress, challenges, and outcomes.
6. Governance and Compliance:
Ensure all AI implementations comply with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal security standards. Maintain documentation for AI models, workflows, and development processes to support governance and audits. Enforce best practices for ethical AI usage and ensure transparency in AI decision-making processes.
7. Continuous Improvement:
Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI solutions, identifying opportunities for enhancements and fine-tuning. Drive automation and efficiency improvements by leveraging AI tools to reduce manual tasks and streamline workflows. Champion user adoption of AI features by providing training, resources, and support.
8. Delivery Management:
Oversee the execution of AI-related Salesforce project deliveries, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Identify and mitigate risks associated with AI solution development and deployment.
Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Business Administration is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 7+ years of experience in software development and implementation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role involving Data Analytics and/or AI. Proven track record of designing and deploying AI-powered solutions within Salesforce platforms. Experience with Salesforce Einstein AI, Einstein Bots, GPT tools, and other AI services within the Salesforce ecosystem. Hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive analytics, and data modeling.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Salesforce development tools, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL/SOSL. Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks. Experience with Salesforce integrations using APIs, MuleSoft, or other middleware platforms. Knowledge of data architecture, ETL processes, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau CRM). Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering results. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist. Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or financial services. Familiarity with ethical AI practices and frameworks.

Successful deployment of AI-powered Salesforce solutions aligned with business goals. Improvement in operational efficiency, customer engagement, and business outcomes through AI enhancements. Reduction in manual workflows and increased automation using Salesforce AI tools. High user adoption rates and satisfaction with AI capabilities. Adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Work Environment:
Hybrid or on-site environment, depending on company policy. Occasional travel may be required for team collaboration, training, or vendor meetings.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 to 10 years of relevant IT and business work experience.
Requires experience in leading teams and building relationships with people at a variety of levels.
Requires demonstrated ability to launch and deliver a single IT project on time and within budget.
