The Translation Technical Manager is a multi-discipline position that requires technical expertise in content systems, content structures, as well as the ability to manage large-scale digital governance, translation, and multimedia projects.
Summary:
Working directly with the content strategy team, the Translation Technical Manager supports strategic initiatives in content management, digital transformation, and efficient delivery. This role is focused on the technical systems, content structures, and processes that allow the content team to effectively produce, manage, translate, and publish high-quality multimedia and text content at scale.
Responsible For:
  • Providing first-line technical expertise for translation and content systems (CMS, DAM) to minimize resource downtime.
  • Managing and optimizing the technical processes for publishing source and translated content and multimedia assets from source applications to downstream delivery solutions.
  • Ensuring the delivery, function, and accessibility of source and translated content assets across all systems.
  • Monitoring and correcting post-publishing technical or system issues.
  • Managing content assets in multiple languages within content and digital asset management systems (CMS, DAM), ensuring structural integrity, organization, and adherence to governance standards.
  • Overseeing automated translation processes to ensure the accuracy and quality of imports, exports, and published content.
  • Leading the validation and QC for translation across various languages and media types and conducting quality checks on published work.
  • Coordinating with vendors for video, digital text, and visual asset translation projects.
  • Tracking and gathering data to support weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on content changes, project health, and translation timelines.
  • Planning for translation capacity to maintain velocity and meet various output goals.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8+ years technical experience managing content structures and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) systems. High level of technical proficiency and ability to provide first-level system support.
  • Experience with automated translation workflows and processes. Understanding of content governance, architecture, reuse, and optimization for multiple languages.
  • Strong project management skills with experience tracking and reporting on project status. Experience with vendor coordination and quality control. Exceptional attention to detail.
