Sorts panels according to FA1 floors or FA5 panels Gaskets PNF panels Assembles splice channels and insulates Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License All other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Ability to operate hand tools Ability to read and understand written English Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Previous manufacturing experience Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple Medical insurance plan options + Dental and Vision insurance Employer contributed pension of $2.48 per hour worked into a pension plan managed by the Local 480 Company provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverage Short term disability and optional employee paid voluntary long term disability 80 hours paid time off for new employees, prorated based on start date 88 hours company paid holidays 48 hours of paid sick and safe time, prorated based on start date Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service If you're looking for an engaging career with growth opportunities in a supportive environment, you'll love a career at Daikin Applied!
