Job Title: Production Materials Control Support

Location:Bedford, PA
Shift: 2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm



Job Summary and Mission:

Support between materials and production through recordkeeping of materials received and inventory and production.

This position requires:





    • A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma;
    • 6 months Manufaturing site experience is preferred;
    • Drivers license;
    • Completion of basic math, blueprint reading and gauge-reading training;
    • The ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers;





Key Job Responsibilities:




  • Maintain schedules for material requirements and availability to support production control for industrial and commercial products.



  • Compile records regarding the quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock/inventory, or in production.



  • Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments according to production and shipping schedules.



  • Assist in identifying possible and actual shortages.



  • Initiate actions to correct material or process deficiencies when necessary.



  • Use knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering functions to alert the appropriate stakeholders about potential issues and recommend corrective actions.



  • Estimate and log production rates and time expenditures.



  • Establish the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping deadlines, when required.
