Shift: Morning Pay Rate: $30.00 Position Overview The Toolroom Associate works to repair and maintain plastic injection mold tools, varying from single cavity low volume to multi-cavity high volume molds. This routinely includes disassembly and cleaning of complex molds, some of which can exceed thousands of pounds in weight and require lifting by an overhead crane to tables in the Toolroom, where intricate and often delicate or expensive components are removed for inspection, repair, and cleaning. Setups to the correct plastic product configuration are done by the Toolroom Associate, who works with other Toolmakers including apprentices on jobs scheduled by priority. Troubleshooting of molding visual defects or dimensional issues may be done on the bench or in the presses to determine next steps and make corrections as needed. Some fabrication or repair may be done on components using toolroom equipment including use of a lathe, mill, EDM machine, grinders, etc. Reasonable Accommodations Statement To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
