Additional Job Description: The Department of Neurology in the WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Cancer Institute are jointly seeking a Chief of Neuro-Oncology (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic individual with excellent leadership, research, teaching,administrativeand communication skills.As well, the individual will work collaboratively with leadership in the development of multi-disciplinary and health system-wide programs. The primary responsibilities of the Chief are to oversee administrative and financial operations for the division, lead growth of new clinical programs, and to define and implement the educational, research/scholarly, and clinical service missions of the division, department, and institute. In this role,you willreport directly to the Chair of Neurology. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of neuro-oncology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Administrative duties include working with both the Department of Neurology and the Department of Oncology to ensure growth and development of all aspects of the missions of WVU and WVU Medicine. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed neurology residency program as well as neuro-oncology fellowship program and be board certified in neurology and neuro-oncology. Evidence of leadership experience and success across clinical, research, and educational domains. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
