Loan Processing Lead

The Loan Processing Lead will direct a team of loan processors to ensure that new mortgage loan packages are processed and completed according to established policies and procedures.

What you'll do:

Daily Responsibilities

• Ensures operations are efficient and effective
• Evaluates files for accuracy, completion, and compliance with government regulations
• First line of availability for Processor and LO Inquiries via phone, IM, or email
• Review/request exceptions for document release, CD release or Fund Arounds and escalate as necessary
• Reviewing and advising/directing processing team on updated underwriting dispositions.
• Review/upload conditions received for resubmission to Underwriting for updated disposition
• Main point of contact for post-close conditions

Lead Responsibilities

• Manage branch pipeline to ensure contingencies and lock deadlines are met
• New hire training for processors as well as monitoring regulatory training for timely completion
• Weekly meetings with processing staff to review loans in process
• Assist Operations Manager with feedback on individual processors for Annual Reviews
• Other miscellaneous duties as determined by Operations Manager

What you'll need to be successful:

Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the mortgage industry, processing or related work
• Must have a clear understanding of the residential mortgage loan process from application through selling the loan package to an investor
• Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA underwriting guidelines
• Ability to maintain constant communication between loan originator, borrowers, realtors, loan closer and underwriters
• Must be familiar with working in a paperless system
• Must have high level of integrity and professionalism
• Excellent communications (oral and verbal) and organizational skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Strong data input skills/general knowledge of Loan Origination Software
