Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to create exceptional automation experiences that empower users to build sophisticated workflows and business process automations. You will collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and user research teams to shape the experiences for our next generation automation products. This role combines design excellence, cross-functional partnership, and systems thinking to deliver intuitive automation experiences for every user.

Key Responsibilities Design Delivery & Project Management
  • Responsible for end-to-end UX work for automation features.

  • Manage deliverables and ensure timely execution with onsite and distributed team members.

  • Manage multiple automation projects across business process management tools.

  • Create intuitive, outcome-based workflows and interactions that make complex automation accessible to end users.

Communication & Collaboration
  • Deliver structured presentations with clear narratives using inclusive presentation resources.

  • Explain complex automation concepts clearly to support problem-solving and knowledge sharing.

  • Guide UX design reviews and meetings, capturing key points and providing insightful, actionable feedback to iterate.

  • Plan and manage effective project kickoff events for new automation initiatives.

Relationship Design & Team Support
  • Demonstrate UX that inspires others and encourages engaging discussion and iteration.

  • Elevate underrepresented user voices to design accessible experiences for all.

  • Participate in team, organization, or company cultural initiatives, sharing automation knowledge with the larger organization.

Design Craft & Systems Expertise
  • Rapidly conceptualize and create original design work that demonstrates conceptual strength for automation experiences.

  • Produce polished, high-quality deliverables with careful attention to detail.Generate original creative work that expands on existing ideas, grasping user intent and applying it to new creative directions.

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of existing and emerging design patterns for automation, agentic experiences, and their appropriate use.

  • Connect work and uphold best practices across design system resources and automation pattern libraries.

Advocacy & Accessibility
  • Prioritize accessibility when reviewing designs and mentoring junior teammates, understanding user impact beyond compliance.

  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in workflow automation, low-code platforms, and agentic design.

  • Explore new technologies and design approaches for declarative automation.

Required Qualifications Experience
  • 4+ years of relevant UX design experience (or equivalent portfolio quality).

  • Workflow/automation or enterprise platform expertise preferred.

  • Experience leading cross-functional design initiatives and managing multiple concurrent projects.

  • A portfolio demonstrating complex problem-solving in business process automation, orchestration, or low-code tools.

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in design tools, particularly Figma and prototyping tools.

  • Working knowledge of design systems (such as Lightning Design System 2) and when to apply or extend existing patterns.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and different interaction modalities for automation products.

Design & Leadership
  • Understanding of user research methodologies and data-driven design.

  • Demonstrated ability to advocate for users while balancing business requirements and technical constraints.

  • A history of delivering high-quality design work across multiple concurrent projects.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $157,600 to $216,700. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $172,000 to $236,500.
