A Brief Overview

The GI Suite team is currently seeking a full-time Senior Gastroenterology Technician with experience in flexible scopes, endoscopy, and GI surgical procedures. This position is responsible for assisting physicians with all GI procedures and performing certain procedures independently when ordered by a physician. Provides technical support and documentation for all procedures done through the GI Suite.

What you will do

  • Prepares all necessary lab slips and paperwork prior to the start of the procedure 100% of the time.
  • Prepares necessary equipment and ensures proper functioning prior to the start of the procedure, including calibration and data entry 100% of the time.
  • Obtains necessary specimens as decided by the physician and delivers to the appropriate laboratory immediately after the procedure 100% of the time.
  • Cleans, disinfects and sends certain equipment for sterilization at the end of all procedures 100% of the time per infection control guidelines.
  • Properly stores equipment after all cleaning, disinfection, sterilization and drying is complete.
  • Maintains par levels of supplies.
  • Assist nurses in other duties as assigned.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with all department members.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED - Required
  • Technical Diploma - Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years technical experience in gastroenterology procedures - Preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$24.87 - $31.09 Hourly

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
