Job Title: Tax Associate Location: Bridgeville, PA Salary: $100,000-$110,000 The Tax Senior is a key member of the tax and accounting team, supporting two family offices with complex multi-entity structures. The Tax Senior will play an integral role in delivering high-caliber tax and accounting services to the Family Offices and affiliated entities. This position offers an opportunity to develop advanced technical tax skills, collaborate cross-functionally within the organization, and contribute to the evolution of a technology-enabled tax practice. Key Accountabilities * Tax Services Prepare, review, and process income tax estimates, extensions, and returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and foundations. Maintain and reconcile investment tax basis schedules (Sage and Excel). Research and resolve state and federal tax notices. Support annual tax planning and strategy initiatives. * Accounting Reconcile tax reporting documents such as K-1s, brokerage accounts, and business transactions to general ledgers and post adjustments. Coordinate the preparation and filing of 1099s, state withholding, and other statutory filings. Ensure accuracy of entity-level reconciliations and cross-system consistency (Sage, CCH Access). Assist with filing of: * 1099s * PA withholding * State specific annual reports * Indian Tax Returns * Family Services Partner with the team to meet financial and administrative needs of family members Provide timely, professional responses to ad-hoc inquiries and requests. Support in delivering tax education sessions to family members Skills and Attributes * Academic/Technical Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA or MBA preferred * Knowledge and Experience 4+ years of public accounting experience Experience in one or more of the following tax specialties: high-net-worth individuals, investment partnerships, trusts and/or private foundations and non-profits Experience with general ledgers, journal entries Knowledge of accounting/tax systems, such as SAGE and CCH Access Knowledge of trust, foundation and family partnership accounting practices * Technology Skills Knowledge of tax tools such as K-1x, SurePrep, Vanilla Knowledge of data tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableaux preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, Power Point and SharePoint * Industry Experience Family Office / Wealth Management experience a plus Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
