*Customer Service Representative - Insurance & Documentation Support* *Join our team and make a difference by providing exceptional customer service and accurate documentation support in a fast-paced environment.*
*Key Responsibilities* * Handle *outbound calls* using call center software and respond to inbound calls and emails promptly, meeting performance goals. * Develop and maintain a strong understanding of company products and services. * Document all call information accurately in line with standard operating procedures. * Answer customer queries regarding products, services, retail locations, and general information. * Process orders, route calls to the appropriate resource, and follow up as needed. * Review and verify documentation for accuracy and compliance. * Complete *insurance verification* to confirm patient eligibility, coverage, co-insurance, and deductibles. * Obtain pre-authorizations when required and submit physician orders to insurance carriers for approval. * Navigate multiple EMR systems to retrieve and update documentation. * Enter and review all relevant details in EMR systems, including authorizations and expiration dates. * Communicate trends and issues with insurance companies to Customer Service and Management. * Ensure insurance carriers are correctly listed in the company database; request additions when necessary. * Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer guidelines, providing updates and alternative options. * Meet quality assurance standards and key performance metrics. * Resolve customer complaints with professionalism and empathy. * Maintain attention to detail and strong organizational skills. * Demonstrate flexibility with tasks and working hours. * Use company tools such as Authorization Guidelines, Insurance Guidelines, Fee Schedules, NPI, PECOS, and "How-To" documents to maintain quality. *Skills & Qualifications* * *Customer Service Experience* (call center or healthcare preferred) * Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Ability to handle stressful situations with compassion and empathy * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills * Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities *Experience Level* * *Entry Level* - Training provided *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brevard, NC. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
