*Job Title:* Manager, Data Center Operations
*Location:* Newtown Square, PA *Travel Requirement:* Approximately 30% *Overview:* *A global systems integrator is seeking a seasoned Data Center Operations Manager to support one of its key clients. This role is based in Newtown Square, PA, and involves travel to various data centers across North America.* *Position Summary:* *The Manager of Data Center Operations will oversee daily operations across multiple data center sites, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and service delivery. This role involves managing in-rack activities (IMAC-D, break-fix, logistics), coordinating with vendors, and leading a multidisciplinary team to maintain business-critical infrastructure.* *Key Responsibilities:* * Lead and manage a team responsible for data center operations across multiple locations. * Oversee all in-rack activities including installations, maintenance, and logistics. * Maintain vendor relationships and ensure service delivery aligns with business needs. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. * Research and evaluate new technologies, systems, and materials. * Advise senior leadership on operational strategies and alignment with company goals. * Ensure quality assurance and compliance with operational standards. * Collaborate with external suppliers to support cost-effective and reliable data center operations. * Provide guidance on troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions (CA). *Required Skills & Attributes:* * Expertise in field service dispatch and data center engineering. * Strong understanding of mission-critical infrastructure and topologies. * Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments. * Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal. * Strong organizational and time management abilities. * Ability to work collaboratively in both virtual and in-person settings. * Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills. *Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline. * Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred. * 5-8 years of experience in data center operations or field technician roles. * Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams in critical environments. *Technical Skills:* * Data center operations * Rack and stack * Cabling * Project management *Travel Details:* *Initial travel includes visits to Santa Clara, CA in January 2026, followed by monthly visits to other data centers until all 11 are covered.* *Ongoing travel will be on an exception basis, approximately once per quarter.* *Locations include:* * *Driveable:* Washington DC (3 DCs), Toronto (2 DCs), Newtown Square (1 DC) * *Flights:* Colorado Springs (largest facility), Santa Clara, Chandler * *Sao Paolo:* (unlikely travel required) *Experience Level* Expert Level *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
