| The Excellence Retention Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring nursing organizational culture meets national standards for excellence, functioning as an expert in current trends in culture development, quality outcomes, innovation, and progressive perspective. This role oversees retention issues and directs retention activities; integrates relevant information and elements that impact retention into daily workflow; advises and directs excellence and retention strategies across divisions; provides leadership and execution for the nursing strategic plan for retention; serves as a subject matter expert on behalf of the organization in the larger healthcare industry. |

Creates and directs mechanisms to showcase, celebrate, enhance, modify, and develop nursing excellence and nursing excellence culture within the organization. Extracts, analyzes, and presents nursing excellence and retention data internally and externally; represents the organization in literature publications, panels, professional venues, small groups, and other avenues as subject matter expert. Directs the organization's nurse retention strategy by developing tools and methods, enrolling various levels of stakeholders, collecting outcome data, analyzing and presenting data both internally and externally, advising senior level executives, and contributing to engagement strategies of the organization as a whole. Directs, participates, and analyzes research endeavors appropriate to role; collaborates with external researchers, thought leaders and industry experts to scrutinize, evaluate, and develop new approaches to areas relevant to role. Maintains executive presence with groups and individuals to inform, influence, and impact division and organizational level strategies and directions for excellence and retention. Facilitates methods for data collection and analysis in light of existing and/or new models, and influences individual and group thought to open vistas of possibility and innovation. Develops, promotes, and assists with externally-facing products, including development of roll out plans, processes for interfacing with external clients, support structures for clients, marketing and promotional materials, website maintenance, product line expansions, and new funding and research opportunities. Performs other duties as assigned. |
