Data.FI Eswatini Finance and Administrative Officer

Palladium is currently seeking a Finance & Administrative Officer in Eswatini to support the implementation of the Data for Implementation (Data.FI) Project. Data.FI is a five-year global project funded by the Department of State (DoS).

Data.FI supports host country governments to improve existing health information systems (HIS) and conduct in-depth analysis of epidemiological and program data to inform responses to manage gaps in programming and sustain impact by supporting the transition of local partners. In Eswatini, Data.FI will lead a team of technical advisors with expertise in digital health and quality management systems to help the government through DoS better monitor and mitigate the impacts of the COVID-19.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

*Provide support for the day-to-day management of the office including managing the reception area.
*Responsible for the procurement of office equipment and supplies, liaise with project vendors.
*Coordinate with local vendors to obtain quotes, coordinate invoicing and process payments for service providers.
*Assist with the planning of events and other activities. This includes venue, lodging, transportation, attendance tracking.
*Support information gathering for workshop reports.
*Contribute to the development of activity budgets for project-related activities.
*Manage and control office supplies.
*Prepare and submit tax exemption claims.
*Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and other logistics.
*Make photocopies, scan, and fax/send documents.
*Assume any other responsibilities that may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field;
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in broader finance and administration management with an international organization, including HR, finance, IT, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with USAID funded projects and/or experience working on an international development project.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills.
  • Proven problem identification and resolution experience with budgeting, forecasting, banking, tax authorities, foreign currency transactions, and other related issues.
  • Strong English (written and oral) communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Local candidates only-no relocation expenses provided.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Eswatini.

Reporting and Supervision:

*Reports to the Data.FI Finance and Administration Manager, Eswatini.
*Provision of regular updates.
*Other reporting as requested.

Relationships:

*The role is part of the Data.FI Project Delivery Team and will work in coordination with the Finance and Administration manager as well as US-based project management staff.
*This role will not have supervisory responsibilities.

Levels of Authority:

*Under the oversight of the Finance and Administration Manager, perform preliminary processing for assigned activities.
*Assist in responsibility for creating and maintaining procurement project files and documentation.

Contract
Duration:

Until March 2026 with the potential for extension contingent on funding.
