Our client is a long-established, family-owned organization with more than a century of industry presence. The business has a strong reputation in its sector and is experiencing accelerated growth across both traditional B2B channels and modern e-commerce/retail marketplaces. The leadership team is committed to modernizing operations, improving efficiency, and building a scalable infrastructure to support continued national expansion.

Role Scope & Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse & Logistics Oversight

  • Lead day-to-day operations for the primary warehouse located in Cranbury, NJ and multiple third-party logistics partners nationwide.

  • Standardize processes to improve accuracy, throughput, cost control, and inventory visibility.

  • Develop and monitor KPI-driven performance metrics.

2. Administrative Leadership

  • Oversee the administrative support team involved in operations, logistics, sales coordination, and finance alignment.

  • Create standardized, auditable processes and documentation systems.

  • Improve workflow efficiency and communication across departments.

3. E-Commerce & Drop-Ship Fulfillment

  • Manage and enhance the client's drop-ship fulfillment programs supporting major online and big-box retail partners.

  • Improve turnaround time, fulfillment accuracy, and operational readiness for new e-commerce initiatives.

  • Evaluate automation and system-integration opportunities to streamline order processing.

4. Safety, Compliance & Quality

  • Maintain OSHA compliance and drive safety-focused culture across all facilities.

  • Strengthen quality control, inbound receiving procedures, and product traceability.

  • Conduct regular audits and implement corrective action plans.

5. Financial & Vendor Performance Management

  • Build and manage operational budgets with a focus on cost efficiency and accuracy.

  • Lead quarterly performance evaluations with 3PL vendors.

  • Ensure service-level agreements are met and drive continuous improvement.

6. Talent Development & ERP Ownership

  • Mentor warehouse and office managers to build leadership capability and accountability.

  • Oversee onboarding and ongoing training programs.

  • Serve as operational owner for the company's ERP platform, ensuring data integrity and workflow optimization.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years in operations, logistics, supply chain, or distribution leadership.

  • 5+ years in a senior management role (Director, Senior Director, VP).

  • Hands-on experience managing multi-site operations and 3PL relationships.

  • Background in e-commerce and drop-ship fulfillment strongly preferred.

  • ERP proficiency (SysPro experience helpful but not required).

Core Competencies

  • Process creation, KPI development, and continuous improvement.

  • Financial discipline, budgeting, and vendor oversight.

  • Ability to unify warehouse teams, logistics personnel, and administrative staff.

  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS are a plus.

Leadership Style

  • Structured, process-driven, and operationally disciplined.

  • Collaborative, communicative, and hands-on.

  • Able to scale operations quickly in a fast-growth environment.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
