Camtronics LLC, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager. Reporting to the General Manager of Camtronics, LLC., the Engineering Manager leads and manages processes and teams that:
- Grow revenue through new products
- Grow revenue by ensuring all products exceed customer expectations
- Improve producibility, performance and reliability of all products
- Identify, implement and improve supporting technologies
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Help the business grow and learn
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Support the product lifecycle by participating in the selection, development, production ramp-up, and long-term sustainment of new products
- Oversees project teams, aligning resources and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Directs product design, new product development and tooling design activities
- Assesses adequacy of product design, supporting data and regulatory approval packages
- Organizing & supervising teams that use data to develop and improve manufacturing processes and engineering procedures
- Serve as the key technical liaison, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities
- Collaborates and coordinates across organizational boundaries on reverse engineering, manufacturing/repair capabilities and production methods
- Assists in the location and selection of manufacturing sources (suppliers).
- Motivates teams and holds them accountable for delivering excellent results
- Manages Engineering department including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education:
- Bachelor's (BS) Degree in Electrical (Preferred), Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university and eight-plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years experience of demonstrated ability leading technical staff in a manufacturing or FAA/aerospace environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in team environments, and flexibility in handling multiple tasks
- Highly responsive, attentive to detail, results driven, comfortable in a "hands-on" environment
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling and design tools (SolidWorks Preferred), with practical experience in LabVIEW for test automation and instrumentation control
- Advanced capability interpreting and applying engineering drawings, specifications, industry standards, GD&T
- Proven experience as Lead/Senior Electrical Engineer, overseeing all phases of hardware development including circuit design, schematic capture, PCB design, manufacturability, sourcing, system integration, and hands-on testing/debugging
- Preferred experience in RF hardware design for communication terminals, including low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), power amplifiers (PAs), and passive components, with demonstrated expertise in high-frequency, densely populated PCB layout.
- Experience with component and system level testing in both laboratory and operational environments
