As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the premises, supporting a culture built on teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual circumstances.
• Monitor access points and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Document and communicate incidents, observations, and/or issues according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with directions and information as needed.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
