Remote Avionics Systems Engineer

A REMOTE Avionics Systems Engineer job is currently at Belcan supporting one of our aerospace customers. We are seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer with at least 5 years of experience and has in depth experience in designing, developing, testing and integrating advanced avionics solutions, specifically our customer's Epic integrated avionics systems.

Job Duties:
* Aircraft Level Avionics systems design, integration and test
* System engineering and integration support to multiple Avionics products including Flight Management Systems (FMS), Guidance, Navigation, Fight Controls, Autopilot, Displays, Datalink, etc.
* Systems validation and test of new Avionics functionality using dynamic aircraft simulation and test facilities (Integrated Test Benches)

Required Qualifications:
* MUST HAVE Experience with Honeywell Primus Epic integrated avionics systems
* Experience decomposing and validating customer requirements into high-level system requirements using DOORs
* Experience writing scenario base tests for system level verification
* Experience working in the Honeywell SITS labs (test facility for the EPIC platform)
* Integration of complex federated systems (Displays, FMS, Flight Controls, Datalink, Radios)
* Full Life Cycle Systems engineers (both sides of the V diagram)
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or systems engineering
* 5+ years of Systems, Avionics, Software of Aerospace engineering experience
* Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Display integration experience (touchscreen, HUD, and/or GPU)
* DO-178 planning and/or process

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $100,000-$145,000, however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
