Overview Supervise personnel in the physical installation, repair, maintenance, removal, replacement, testing, and inspection of overhead electrical distribution system. Ensure that work activities are performed in a safe, efficient and reliable manner and in accordance with established policies, procedures, engineering plans and specifications, and environmental laws and regulations.

Core Responsibilities
- Supervise personnel in the physical installation, repair, maintenance, removal, replacement, testing, and inspection of overhead equipment on the electrical distribution system.
- Ensure availability and timely delivery of necessary materials, supplies and equipment and tools
- Ensure that all work activities are performed in a safe, efficient and reliable manner and in accordance with established policies, procedures, engineering plans and specifications and environmental laws and regulations
- Ensure technological advances in overhead devices are in accordance with engineering plans and specifications
- Perform with full commitment and in compliance with all environmental laws, regulations, Company policies and procedures. This includes proper storage, handling and disposal of hazardous material and prompt reporting of any violations or release of hazardous materials into the environment.
- Interpret computerized reports and their application of work-related activities and responsibilities
- Monitor work performance of subordinates and regularly coach to increase performance levels.
- Conduct job briefings, job site safety exchange(JSSE's) Driver Assessment, AVAIL audits and vehicle inspections

- Must have knowledge of the electric distribution system, Electric Operations and Construction, primary and secondary systems
- Have experience with, or being willing to learn, Logica Work Management System
- Must be able to exercise independent judgment during system emergencies as well as be a supporting member within the framework of the Incident Command System (ICS)
- Must be available for storm and emergency response
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant work experience or
- Associate's Degree and 4 years relevant work experience or
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years relevant work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and Three (3) years Preferred three (3) years' direct experience constructing the Overhead Distribution System.
Relevant Work Experience
- Knowlege of Overhead distribution systems Preferred
- 1-2 years supervisory experience Preferred
- Field experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of the electric distribution system Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

Physical Demands
- Ability to respond to system emergencies
- Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
- Ability to carry tools and materials when climbing ladders and scaffolds, and entering confined spaces
- Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, catwalks, roofs, and/or other equipment
- Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
- Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems
- Ability to be approved to wear and use either a full or half-face respirator, without facial hair or other conditions that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations
- Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
- Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
- Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, midnights, weekends, and holidays
Additional Physical Demands
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
- Operating Supervisors are expected to assume duties as the emergency 'call out' supervisor on a rotating basis.
- This role requires the Operating Supervisor to be available on a 24 hour basis to respond to emergencies as deemed by the Control Center or as deemed necessary for running the business.
