Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Regional Account Manager (RAM) will be responsible for compliantly promoting the US WorldMeds product portfolio to targeted customers with the goal of achieving sales growth and maintaining current business in assigned region. Education and promotional efforts will include interactions with all relevant Health Care Providers (HCPs) who impact pediatric oncology patient care within the community, including but not limited to, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurse Educators, office staff, etc. The territory for this position is the Northeast and will cover the following states: CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, ME, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA, VT and WV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. - Promote the product portfolio to targeted customer groups including:
- Pediatric oncology Centers of Excellence
- Pediatric oncology institutions with healthcare professionals serving the pediatric oncology patient population
- Specialty Pharmacy representatives, distribution representatives, patient education liaisons, and pharmacists
- Foundations and groups specializing in pediatric oncology endeavors, including executive directors, program coordinators, etc.
- Exhibit expert understanding and knowledge of product and disease state as well as product and support program services
- Ensure effective execution of strategies and tactics consistent with corporate brand and marketing plans
- Plan, organize, and execute educational programs with pediatric oncology healthcare professionals and community partnerships in the pediatric oncology arena
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to address customer needs appropriately and with a high sense of urgency
- Deliver sales results that meet and or exceed sales goals established by corporate leadership
- Utilization of resources within territory per corporate direction
- Responsible for delivering on-label promotional efforts in support of product approved indications
- Compliance with all sales and marketing policies, corporate policies, state, and federal laws
- Develop strategic business plans for the region and execute plans with excellence
- Identify and develop business solutions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must reside within territory, preferably in city identified as "HUB" city; each sales territory will cover multiple states
- Must reside within reasonable distance of a major airport
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 4 years of demonstrated success in a specialty pharmaceutical or hospital/institutional sales position
- Ability to translate complex medical and scientific information into key sales and marketing messages
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities
- Competence in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Documented record of exceptional performance in prior sales positions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic with proactive mindset
- Willingness and ability to work within and outside of traditional business hours
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience with complex pharmaceutical sales (orphan drug, specialty product, biologic, oncology, etc.) required
- 3+ years Oncology sales experience
- Developed relationships or experience with specialty pharmacies and HUB services
